TWO men arrested in the Czech Republic in connection with the murder of Bolton builder Pavaiz Iqbal, have been remanded in custody by a court in Prague.
The pair, aged 26 and 32, were arrested by detectives as their homes were raided and searched.
A judge in Prague ruled they would be held in a prison while the extradition process takes place. They will be brought back to the UK for questioning.
Mr Iqbal, aged 41, was found dead at his home in Birkdale Gardens, Deane, on December 18 last year.
He had been repeatedly hit over the head with a blunt object.
The investigation has since focused on two Czech nationals who are believed to have fled from their bedsit in Derby Street back to their native country.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "The extradition process can be lengthy and will depend on the Czech authorities."
