AFFICIONADOS of new music will be particularly happy this week - particularly as today marks the long awaited release of the debut album from punk four-piece Good Shoes.
Think Before You Speak showcases the cheerfully naive and knowingly wise contradictions of Good Shoes, and will finally provide something substantial for fans unable to track down the band's ultra-rare early single releases.
Also hitting the shelves is another debut offering, this time from electro-pop weirdos Shiny Toy Guns.
Gothic organs, haunting samples and clever drum machines all make their appearance on the album, titled We Are Pilots.
Singles-wise, and it may be prudent to place a few quid on the likelihood of Razorlight scoring another number one with their new offering, I Can't Stop This Feeling I've Got.
Fighting them for the top spot are newcomers The Twang, with Wide Awake, foxy popstrell Jamelia, with No More, Maximo Park's Our Velocity (their debut album is set to be released on April 2) and the frankly terrifying Fergie, with Glamorous, featuring Ludacris.
For those hoping to track down something a little less commercial, today also sees the release of new singles from Five O'Clock Heroes, The KBC and The Bird and The Bee.
