CAR crime has been slashed by nearly three-quarters by a two-month police operation.
The drive, codenamed Operation Crusher, targeted car thieves in the Clifton area of Salford and saw 14 stolen vehicles recovered.
Just 22 offences were committed in the area in January and February, compared to 80 offences for the previous two months.
