MORE than a third of employers in Bolton believe the smoking ban will to bring unnecessary conflict between managers and staff.
Research by Manchester-based law firm Berg Legal found that 36 per cent of managers are concerned that enforcing additional regulations will make staff feel as if their rights are being infringed.
And 78 per cent of employees said that they would ignore the ban.
Alison Loveday, managing partner and head of employment at Berg Legal said: "Although there has been an incredible amount of press surrounding the smoking ban, many businesses are still confused as to what the ban entails."
