AN EVENT to discuss the Muslim contribution to the abolishment of slavery is being held in Bolton.
Four speakers will be at the Lecture Theatre, Central Library Bolton, on Monday at 5.30pm. They will mark the 200th anniversary of the legal abolishment of the slave trade in Britain.
The speakers are Imam Rashid Musa, from the Zakariyya Masjid mosque, Ramzan Qadri, of the Minhaj Welfare Foundation, Farhat Abbas, of the Thinkers Forum and Jahangir Mohamme, of the Centre for Muslim Affairs.
