MORE than 1,000 women have already signed up for Bolton's Race for Life.
A total of 1,107 fundraisers have put their names down to run the 5km course in Leverhulme Park to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Races will take place at 11am and 2pm, on Sunday, July 22.
Organisers Cancer Research UK and Tesco are hoping to raise around £260,000 from the day.
And there are still places to fill, with a capacity of 2,000 women to take part in each race.
Last year's Bolton event attracted 4,000 women who raised a total of £178,000 for cancer sufferers.
Many ran in memory of loved ones whom they had lost to the disease.
Imogen Johnson, Race for Life national events executive, said: "I'm delighted by the response of Bolton's women this year and thrilled that the races are filling so quickly.
"I'd really urge any woman wanting to take part to sign up. It's such an inspiring day and the money raised does make an invaluable contribution to beating cancer."
