BOLTON town centre manager Cathy Savage fulfilled a 35-year fantasy by meeting her childhood idol Donny Osmond on the set of a new quiz show.
The mum-of-two won the chance to take part in the Challenge TV quiz show, Pyramid, which is hosted by the former 1970s heart-throb - and even managed a quick kiss.
Mrs Savage said: "I got to kiss him on the cheek. He's gorgeous in real life, absolutely perfect. I couldn't stop staring at him. I've waited so long to meet him and I just couldn't think of anything to say.
"It was one of the best days of my life - behind marrying my husband and the birth of my two children of course."
Mrs Savage who writes a fortnightly column in The Bolton News, travelled to London to take part in the quiz show, which involves members of the public paired with celebrities to compete in a word game for cash prizes.
Despite failing to qualify for the next round of the show, Mrs Savage, of Saxby Avenue, Bromley Cross, says she had an amazing day after being paired with GMTV weathergirl Sian Lloyd and Stephen Gately of boyband Boyzone fame.
She answered questions on Oscar winning films, female animals, fictional detectives, knights and bad luck omens.
Other celebrities taking part were former England cricketer Phil Tufnell and entertainer Lionel Blair.
Mrs Savage said: "It was a fantastic experience, although I'm quite competitive, so I was disappointed I didn't go through."
Pyramid, which features two teams composed of a famous face and a contestant who try to guess a series of words or phrases within a 30 second time limit based on descriptions given to them by their partner, will air in the coming weeks .
