A 21-year-old woman punched a 17-year-old girl she though had been spreading gossip about her, a court heard.
Natalie Belfield, of Settle Street, Great Lever, pleaded guilty to assault at Bolton Magistrates Court yesterday and was given a three-month jail sentence suspended for 12 months, and 100 hours' community service.
She was also put under a curfew from 9pm until 7am and was ordered to pay £100 compensation and £43 in costs.
