A TEENAGER who was knocked down by a car as he tried to cross a motorway has undergone operations to relieve pressure on his brain.
Sean Green, aged 17, of Whitsundale, Westhoughton, is on a ventilator at Hope Hospital with serious head injuries after being hit by a Fiat Punto on the M61 early on Sunday.
His uncle, Chris Green, said he had undergone two operations to stop bleeding from his brain and relieve pressure.
He said: "His condition hasn't really changed and he has had a couple of operations to take the pressure off his brain and make him as comfortable as possible.
"His parents, Michael and Sheila, have been by his bedside since they found out he was in hospital and it's a very worrying time for his whole family."
The 39-year-old driver of the vehicle was not injured.
