FOUR piece A Foreign Town are once again living up to their name by embarking on a second tour of America.

The boys will set of on April 24, and have seven gigs already confirmed, including two with renowned REM producer Mitch Easter.

The tour has been set up with the help of Fundamental records, who have over two decades' experience of every kind of musical genre, from pop to metal to Americana.

The two week trip will include gigs in Illinois, New York and Tennessee, among others.

"After last year we really wanted to go back," says bassist Rob. "There was such a good atmosphere."

Their first trip to the States was a whistle-stop tour of Chicago in May last year. And the band say that it has been much easier to organise second time around.

"We've got more contacts, it's been much easier," says Rob. "We think it's a good thing to do, it gave us A Foreign Town, who are completed by singer Olly, guitarist Gary and drummer Alex, have also just finished recording a new, as yet untitled CD.

1,000 copies will be made available in the next few weeks via their myspace site, www.myspace.com/aforeigntown, at gigs, and through independent record shops.

They will warm up for the American tour with a date at The Late Rooms, in Manchester, on Friday.
