HOLLYOAKS star Leah Hackett has given her support to the second Dance Fusion festival.
Dance enthusiast Leah, who plays Tina McQueen in the teen soap, is backing the event - aimed at bringing dance to the people of Leigh and Wigan.
Leah said: "I am a former pupil of Fred Longworth High School in Tyldesley and that is where I learned to love dance.
"It is great to see an event such as Dance Fusion taking off after a successful launch last year.
"I think this event will encourage people to think of dance as an activity for all ages to enjoy."
As well as a showcase event on Sunday, March 18, the festival includes a week packed with free dance classes ranging from salsa, swing, jive, Scottish and street dancing, suitable for all ages.
From Monday 19 to Saturday March 24, people can join a range of free dance classes and workshops, led by professional teachers who aim to make learning dance easy and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of age or experience.
All the dance sessions and workshops are free but booking is required. For more information call 01942 488481.
