AN equestrian fantasy blending dance, drama, comedy and outstanding horsemanship, Spirit of the Horse is bringing its dazzling production of Chimera to Middleton.
Europe's greatest touring equestrian theatre show features 30 magnificent horses, including the classic Andalusian stallions of Valencia, the Arabian stallions minuet, the Spirit of the Horse quadrille display team and the return of Pegasus the winged horse.
Nine performances of the action-packed show will be staged in the magnificent specially designed 2,000-seat Equestrian Touring Theatre and Bowlee Community Park, on Old Heywood Road in Middleton.
The spectacular 2007 production includes an awesome creation from the classic legend of Chimera, the mythological beast of evil, who is challenged by the gentle and astounding fantasy horse Pegasus.
The equestrian comedy comes from a rising new star, who although small in stature has a huge talent to entertain.
Smartie - a six-year-old Shetland pony from Germany - causes chaos when he"goes on parade" with the other volunteers of the Equine Home Guard.
Smartie and the other equine stars will ensure that Spirit of the Horse is an event to remember.
Spirit of the Horse, March 29 to April 1, Bowlee Community Park, Old Heywood Road, Middleton.
