A DEVOTED Bolton father will take part in a four-mile charity run, pushing his son in his wheelchair to raise cash from a new minibus.
Stan McGowen, a staunch Bury FC fan, has driven the disabled supporters bus to all home and away games for the past eight years.
He raised £10,000 to buy the bus for the club and had it specially adapted. But now it needs replacing so he is organising another fundraising effort.
Mr McGowen, who recently picked up the Fan of the Year award, sponsored by FIFA 07 at the Football League Awards dinner in London, is taking part in the Southport Fun Run on April 1 with his son, Paul, aged 36, who suffers from cerebral palsy.
Mr McGowen, of Lincoln Avenue, Little Lever, who has been a Shakers fan for 25 years, is aiming to raise at least £20,000 for the new minibus.
He said: "I am doing the fun run and I am also organising a sportsman's dinner. I am also looking for businesses to help with sponsorship."
Over the years he has taken the disabled fans all over the country following their team.
Anyone who can help can contact Mr McGowen on 01204 576725 or Bury Football Club on 0161 764 4881.
