EVERYONE on a diet dislikes the moment of the big weigh-in.
Now it is the turn of the children of this town - and the parents must allow it to happen.
Youngsters in Bolton are currently being weighed for the second year running as part of a Bolton Primary Care Trust campaign to tackle obesity.
It is an initiative that needs to work with almost 30 per cent of under 11s obese or overweight.
Take-up among parents allowing their children to be weighed and measured has been relatively low so far.
This town needs to wake up to the fact that if it does not co-operate the health of its children will be seriously in danger in the very near future.
