Super League new boys Hull Kingston Rovers are determined to build on their impressive start to the season.
Rovers have won three of their first four matches, including a fabulous victory at Wigan last Friday, to confound their critics but Great Britain prop Danny Ward insists there will be no resting on their laurels.
The disappointment of their only defeat, which came at home to Harlequins a fortnight ago, will serve to keep last year's National League champions on their toes against Leeds at Craven Park today.
"Confidence is very high but the last time we had a good away win, at Huddersfield, we didn't back it up the week after," said Ward.
"Last week won't count for anything if we don't build on it and put in a good performance this week.
"The lads were buzzing after last Friday but we were soon back down to earth. When we got in on Monday, it was down to hard work.
"It's been a good start but we can't get too carried away. We've been working hard this week to do even better and improve on that performance at Wigan."
Ward, who made 118 appearances for the Rhinos after joining them in 1999, was sacked for disciplinary reasons on the eve of last season and spent last year with Castleford, but holds no grudges.
"I was devastated to leave Headingley but you have to move on," added Ward, who misses the game through injury.
