A TEENAGE drug dealer who sold heroin and crack cocaine to undercover police officers has been jailed for more than two years.
Faruq Malji, aged 19, of Haynes Street, Daubhill, sold drugs to officers on 17 separate occasions over four months The deals took place when officers made contact with the defendant through a mobile phone number they had been given. They would ask for "Tony" and then request drugs.
Meetings were set up in public places such as the football pitches in Haslam Park and Wigan Road, Deane.
On one occasion, Faruq even brought a child, no older than 13, on a deal with him, said Susan Carter, prosecuting at Bolton Crown Court on Friday.
