RACING Santander's 6ft 8ins Serbian striker Nikola Zigic, has been alerted by speculation linking him with a summer switch to Wanderers.
The 26-year-old, who has scored seven goals in La Liga this season, is also reported to have attracted interest from Juventus, but has hinted he would favour a move to the Premiership.
"I am aware that some English teams have a continuing interest in me," Zigic told the Spanish media after scouts from Bolton, Spurs and Arsenal saw him in action in Racing's 1-0 win against Osasuna.
"However, I have a contract with Racing. It is clear that the Premiership is a special paradise for a striker of my characteristics.
"It is normal to think about my future and my career."
Wanderers have also been linked to Racing defenders, Ruben Gonzalez and Ezequiel Garay, but a spokesman for the Spanish club said: "All we know is that passes were issued for the match but there has been no contact regarding individuals."
