WANDERERS fans have scored another success in their fight to bring down the cost of watching football by persuading the club to scrap the £1.50 transaction charge on postal and telephone ticket applications.

The transaction charge, similar to those imposed throughout the sport and entertainment industries, figures prominently among the grievances fans have expressed as reasons for falling attendances.

Now, following the news that season tickets at the Reebok will be cut by 10 per cent next season, Wanderers have scrapped the transaction charge with immediate effect.

"The club has listened to feedback from supporters," said a Wanderers spokesman.
