MP Ruth Kelly has announced she is to hold a fundraiser to mark International Women's Day in her constituency.
The Bolton West MP, who is the government's Minister for Women, will host the evening at Ridgmont House, in Horwich, on Thursday.
She will be joined by fellow Labour MP, Hazel Blears, who will speak at the event, alongside 20-year-old paralympic hopeful, Sophie Hancock, from Horwich.
Money from the Labour party fundraiser will be donated to Breast Cancer Care.
Ms Kelly said: "I wanted to mark the occasion in my own constituency, with a celebration of the achievements of women in Bolton-west, regionally and nationally."
