HUNDREDS of guests enjoyed a night of fine food and cabaret at the Mayor's annual charity ball.
Revellers sat down to a five course meal before being entertained to a glittering programme of entertainment.
Performances included an Abba tribute act by young dancers from Dawson's Academy, based in Great Moor Street, Bolton, as well as entertainment from performers Da Vinci, and music from male soul quartet, The American Drifters.
The ball was hosted by the Mayor and Mayoress of Bolton, Cllr Walter Hall and Mrs Sheila Hall, at the Albert Halls, and was sponsored by the Emerson Group. Diners, who had paid up to £26.50 for tickets, were entertained to live piano music during the dinner.
Money raised from ticket sales, and a charity appeal and raffle on the night, will go to the mayor's chosen charities - Bolton Hospice, Breast Cancer Research and the stroke unit at the Royal Bolton Hospital.
Cllr Hall thanked those who had "worked tirelessly to organise a fabulous event." He said: "I would like to thank you for supporting my evening and my local charities. I would like to thank our sponsors, the Emerson Group - without their help we could not have put on an evening such as this."
