BOOK characters were brought to life at a Bolton nursery.
Children dressed up as their favourite characters to celebrate National Book Day.
The youngsters at Rose Hill nursery, Burnden Park, acted out scenes from some of the Britain's best-loved children's books.
The three and four-year-olds also made up their own stories and listened to their favourite books at story time.
Nursery nurse Steph Duddle said: "The children really enjoyed the activities which we had throughout the day.
"We usually have story time three times a week, but after the enthusiasm the children showed on book day we are hoping to hold these sorts of events more often."
Characters included cowboys, princesses, Batman, Power Rangers and Dennis the Menace.
