TITLE-chasing Prestwich Heys can make it 20 league games unbeaten when they host struggling Hindsford on Saturday.
Adie Moran's side continued their assault on the top spot when they beat Stockport Georgians 3-0 last weekend, and Moran sees points against Hindsford as another mini target attained.
"We did well to beat Stockport, and I was very pleased with the lads because we lost Scott McManus and Jonathan Lyons on the morning of the game," said Moran.
"But, full credit to the lads, Matt Jolly came in from the reserves and scored within five minutes of coming off the bench and we were comfortable victors.
"I was a bit disappointed that Stockport (who were second going into the game) didn't show us more, but that happens and we have to make sure we are ready for Hindsford now.
"We know Hindsford are struggling, but teams want to try and be the first side to beat us this season in the league and take away our unbeaten record. "I said to the lads at Christmas to go 20 games unbeaten. Hopefully, they can achieve that on Saturday.
"It's a big ask for the players to go through a league season unbeaten, but I'm going to ask them to have a good go at it."
Heys have also found out who they will play in the Goldline Trophy final. Moran's men will face Charnock Richard at the Reebok on March 12.
