Ramsbottom United Under-14s are on the glory trail again and are chasing honours on four fronts.
They had a fantastic season last year when they won the Bolton Boys Federation Premier league title for the third successive year and were Bolton Jubilee Cup finalists.
They also won the Lancashire Lancashire County Cup and were Tesco Northern England Regional winners and were finalists in Tesco's national competition.
And despite losing their main striker Shane Birtles to Blackburn Rovers at the end of last season manager Pete Jackson has strengthened the team with the recruitment of five new players.
The lads have already won through to the Lancashire County Cup final again, coming through six rounds, beating Aspull 3-2, Lancaster City 10-0, Euxton Villa 5-1, Bacup 6-0, Accrington Stanley 6-3 and highly rated Blackpool Spirit of Youth 2-1 in the semi final. They will defend their trophy against fellow Bolton Boys Federation team Hindsford in the final which will be played at LFA headquarters at Leyland on Tuesday March 6, 2007, with a 7pm kick off.
Prior to that the Rammy boys play in the North-west regional final of the Peel Lions National Under-15 cup, in which they are playing a year above their age group. They will meet Seedfield at Ramsbottom's Riverside ground on Wednesday, February 21, kick off 6.30pm.
The United are also hoping to win the Bolton Federation Title for the fourth successive year and lift the Jubilee Cup for the third time in four years.
