A MAN who was killed when he was hit by a train near Atherton station has been named as 22-year-old Adam Lee Connelly from Tyldesley.
Police and paramedics were called to Engine Lane, which runs alongside the railway from Atherton towards Tyldesley and Walkden, at 7.16am on March 10 after reports of a body on the track.
Mr Connelly was pronounced dead at the scene.
His family were too upset to comment.
