GIRLS at Bolton School became young diplomats as they assembled at the "United Nations" for a special conference.
They were taking part at the MUN (Mock United Nations) —High 2015, which was held at Manchester High School for Girls.
The girls represented the African nation of Rwanda and took part in discussions and debates over the course of two days along with pupils from other schools represented countries.
Teacher Amy Standring said: "The students loved the atmosphere and they proved themselves to be promising debaters.
" We are now working hard to further develop our MUN team ready for WiMUN in June."
Mock United Nations (MUN) is an educational simulation and academic competition in which students learn skills including diplomacy, international relations and about the United Nations.
The exercise is designed to help young people develop research, public speaking, debating and writing skills in addition to critical thinking, teamwork and leadership capabilities.
The WiMUN (WIMUN) is the flagship model UN conference hosted and organized by the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) where hundreds of young delegates form across the world to enjoy a 5-day live simulation of UN committees .
