Name, age and where are you from?
Kennedy Caitlin, aged 19, from Harwood, Bolton
When and where did you start performing?
I started performing when I was about three, dancing and then I started singing when I was five in local singing competitions.
What is your sound and who are your influences?
I don’t have a sound. I love to sing music that influences me, such as the king of pop (Michael Jackson), the king of rock and roll (Elvis Presley) and the queen of country (Dolly Parton).
What is the biggest gig you have played to date?
I’ve done many big events, but some of them are a New Hall polo event in Cheshire. I’ve also played a lead on the Lowry stage in the musical If I Can Dream.
If you are not already, is it your ambition to become professional?
I do already sing professionally, but there’s no reason why I can’t improve and move onwards and upwards.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I don’t see myself anywhere in 10 years, I love what I’m doing at the moment and I live for the moment. There’s nothing better than singing live and seeing people’s genuine reaction to a song they love.
Is there anything unusual or interesting about you or the act?
I do sing a lot of old classics, so there’s not just one genre that I can sing, so I guess you could say there’s something for everyone.
Upcoming gigs?
I have many upcoming gigs, I put them all on my Facebook page, Kennedy Caitlin, but I do have the Middleton Archer coming up on February 14, which is a great pub and a great atmosphere.
