BEAUTY and fashion fan Faryal Khan is known for her striking and glamorous good looks.

Now the 23-year-old, married to Bolton boxer Amir Khan, has launched her own YouTube channel to share her life with her thousands of fans on social media.

Last week she posted her first beauty-inspired video — Get Ready With Me: Everyday Makeup! — which sees her expertly applying her make-up while getting ready for a daytrip to London.

Faryal, originally from New York, says she first started wearing make-up at the age of 16 and is keen to share her top tips with other girls and women through video blogs.

The mother-of-one said: "I never really learned make up. It was just a hobby and I used to apply it on myself, my cousins, my mother and eventually I just got the hang of it.

"I plan on having lots of videos — not just for make up! Of course, I'll have make-up and fashion vlogs but I will also have vlogs on fitness and fun things I do with my husband and daughter."

The four-minute time-lapse video sees fresh-faced Faryal before she begins applying make-up brands including Smashbox, MAC and Rimmel, and displaying her contouring skills.

Contouring — long a beauty secret of the stars and used by the likes of Kim Kardashian — is a technique which uses products for shadowing and highlighting.

Faryal said: "I love contouring — it defines your features.

"The best tip is to use the right shade of bronzer and a good contouring brush.

Other products Faryal uses in her video include L'Oréal and Maybelline but she says she does not really have a favourite.

She said: "I pick and chose what I like from all types of brands.

"For example, I love Tom Ford lipsticks, I love Chanel blushers and foundations and I like MAC lipsticks.

"So it really depends what I'm looking for."

If she could only choose one item to wear, Faryal said she would pick mascara and admits she does enjoy being make-up free from time to time.

She said: "I don't always wear make-up.

"I do have days when I want to be make up free — I'm sure we all do. But I do prefer to be in make-up every day, ha.

"It's just fun. I love different colours of blushers. I feel good and girly — and when you look good, you feel more confident."

But for make-up to look its best, you need a good base to start with so how does Faryal make sure her skin is in tip top condition?

She said: "Drinking lots of water — staying hydrated — exfoliating and facials on a regular basis."

In her latest video, Faryal revealed her five favourite skin products - Glamglow youth mud mask, Dermalogica exfoliator, Lush body and face scrub, Shiseido eye cream and Aveeno make-up wipes.
