Band name: Gin Pit
Members names, age and where they are from:
Dee Chambers (youngest of us all!), lives in Burnage, Manchester, but from Cornwall originally
Allan Black, aged 49, from Barnoldswick
Steve Woods, aged 55, from Chorley
Dave Isherwood, aged 65, from Leigh
When and where did you form?
Leigh, early 2013, introduced by mutual friends and an advert in “lonely musician seeks friends” for Steve.
What is your sound and who are your influences?
Very classic rock, influenced by AC/DC, ZZ Top, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Guns n' Roses, Free, Jimi Hendrix and many more.
What is the biggest gig you have played to date?
Lancashire Rock & Bike Show or MBA National Bikers Rally, Samlesbury Aerodrome. Dave has played many gigs in previous bands to over 10,000.
If you are not already, is it your ambition to become professional?
Dee might and is talented enough but the rest of us are getting past it, apart from Dave who has got past it twice! Dave performed on Granada TV in 1968 so its about time they had him back, but then in 2011 he did play at the Coronation Street cast & crew party (see pic on website with “Kirk” — Andy Whyment)
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Probably still doing what we are doing, apart from Dave who has the sole ambition of being still standing.
Is there anything unusual or interesting about the band?
See ginpit.co.uk/about.htm for anything that you find interesting. And there are lists of past and upcoming gigs and stuff on our HOT NEWS page.
Obscure fact 213: Dave’s son Richard Isherwood, aged 40, nurse and part time musician, was at Leigh Music College with his mate Neil Fairclough, now bass player touring with Queen in John Deacon’s place.

The Talbot, Burnley, February 13
The Queens, Leyland, February 15
