Band name: Fight The Silence
Members names, age and where they are from:
Miles Clark, aged 15, guitar and vocals; Jonny Wallis, aged 15, guitar and vocals; Matt Bateman, aged15, bass and guitar and Matthew Kay, aged 15, on drums — all from Bolton.
When and where did you form?
We formed at the end of 2013 at our school and started rehearsing after Christmas. We struggled to find a drummer and practised without one for a while before recruiting Matty in February.
What is your sound and who are your influences?
We are a pop punk band. Every member has a slightly different taste in music but our main influences are Blink-182, Fall Out Boy, Paramore and My Chemical Romance.
What is the biggest gig you have played to date?
Our biggest gig was the Bolton School Battle of the Bands where we played to about 300 people. We have also played a number of smaller venues in and around Manchester.
If you are not already, is it your ambition to become professional?
That's the plan.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
We would love to be touring the world with a couple of albums under our belt.
Is there anything unusual or interesting about the band?
We write and play a lot of original material which is unusual for a band of our age. Apart from that we're just four normal 15-year-olds who love playing music together.
Upcoming gigs?
We are playing Bolton Rocks 2014 on Saturday and we have a gig lined up with two other bands from our school.
