Phoenix forward Bobby Chamberlain has been selected to represent Great Britain in the forthcoming Under 20 World Championship competition in Tallin, Estonia.
The competition runs from 7 to 13 December and GB will face the hosts, Estonia, Korea, Lithuania, Netherlands and Romania. The winner of the group will gain promotion to Division 1 of the World Group.
Bobby joined Phoenix in the summer from Elite League side Hull Stingrays and has made a good start to his tenure at the club with a regular spot on the hard working third line. The 19 year old Hull born youngster has represented Great Britain previously at Under 18 and Under 20 levels and in the last Championships scored two goals and two assists in five games and was named the team’s best player of the tournament.
Phoenix Coach Tony Hand said: “ It is a great honour to represent Great Britain and Bobby’s selection is just reward for his talent and hard work this season at the club.”
