THE champions of both the Bolton League and Bolton Association have been handed away draws in the first round of next year’s Lancashire Knockout Cup.
Bolton League winners Farnworth Social Circle will travel to Hindley St Peters, who finished a close second in the Southport and District Association last season.
Flixton, who won the Bolton Association, have been drawn at North Manchester Cricket League’s Littleborough Lakeside, who scraped into the competition by finishing fourth.
Each of the two Bolton leagues have five teams taking part in the LCB cup – the top-four finishers and cup winners.
Heaton, who qualified after winning the Bolton League’s Hamer Cup for the first time since 1951, have been rewarded with a home draw against Haslingden, who finished fourth in the Lancashire League.
Horwich and Walshaw look to have the toughest draws after picking champions of their respective leagues, with Horwich entertaining Lowerhouse, of the Lancashire League, and Walshaw hosting Norden, who won the Central Lancashire League.
All ties must be played by Sunday, May 24, 2015.
