A FAMILY-run Bolton business whose desire and commitment to succeed has seen it maintain its enviable position as a leader among its peers will continue to flourish into the future.
BHE Services (Bolton) Ltd was founded in 1971 by the late Randall (Ronnie) Wilkinson, father-in-law and father of the current directors Mike Robinson and Paul Wilkinson.
The buoyant firm had been involved in maintenance, repair and installation of gas central heating systems. But over the last few years, Mike and Paul have broadened the trading base to embrace electrical work and a large range of renewable energy technologies for commercial and domestic clients.
Both have fulfilled the ethos of Mr Wilkinson by ensuring that expansion has been undertaken in a planned and controlled manner, so as not to compromise the cashflow and financial position of the company.
BHE Services, located at Wilkinson House in Radcliffe Road, has gone from strength to strength, and today employs a 70-strong workforce.
The business is ready for the next phase of the expansion of the gas industry and has already been assessed as a Green Deal-approved contractor, and continues to lead the way in offering a range of products and services to its customers.
Recent expansion has included a major investment in new IT and telecommunication systems and in new areas of work.
Additionally, there is continuous investment in the workforce with BHE heavily involved in staff training.
General manager Martin Howell said: “Our work provides customers with improvements in their living standards by creating a warm and safe home and our new technology offering will continue to enhance this throughout the future.”
