FARNWORTH Social Circle are the 2014 Bolton League champions, league secretary Ray Taylor has confirmed.
Matt Parkinson’s side go into this weekend’s final round of matches 14 points ahead of closest challengers Bradshaw with 14 points still to play for.
Yet even if they were to lose both games – at home to Horwich on Saturday and Eagley on Sunday – Social Circle cannot be caught.
“Bradshaw can draw level with Social Circle if they pick up two wins and claim bonus points in both those games and Social Circle lose theirs,” confirmed Taylor.
“But after that, the title would be decided on games won, and as it stands Social Circle have won three more matches than Bradshaw, making them impossible to catch.”
The full details are yet to be arranged, but Parkinson and his men will now be presented with the trophy on Saturday.
