KEEP fit fanatics can take part in a host of free activities — as the organisation which runs Bolton’s leisure centres celebrates its 10th birthday.
Bolton Community Leisure Trust is celebrating 10 years of managing the leisure facilities across the town and, after a two-year refurbishment programme and investment of £2 million, bosses are inviting residents to try out a range of classes.
The open days will be packed from start to finish with a large number of activities for all the family to get involved in, such as aqua fit, introduction to swimming lessons, family aqua splash fun sessions, large and small inflatable sessions, workout classes, bouncy castles and go carts.
In the last four years, the trust has taught more than 14,000 adults and children from across Bolton to swim.
Free introductory swimming lessons will be available at Farnworth Leisure Centre and Bolton One as part of the open days.
Dave Singleton, chair of Bolton Community Leisure Trust said: “It’s great to see the people of Bolton voting with their feet and getting fit and active.
“Levels of participation in exercise are rising year on year and swimming is a great way to stay fit and healthy.
“There is a huge variety of activities for people of all ages at Bolton’s leisure centres, so I would urge everybody to take the opportunity to come to the free open days and see what’s available within the improved leisure facilities.”— l For full details of our facilities and the open days, visit boltonleisure.com
