A VOLUNTARY group involved in a 10-year programme to restore the rockery garden at Moss Bank Park in Smithills is appealing for more helpers.
Friends of Moss Bank Park assemble every Tuesday morning outside the walled garden and have received a Heritage Lottery Grant to continue their work.
A spokesman said: “We are now working hard to open the rockery which many people have fond memories of.
“The more people who come and help on any Tuesday morning, the sooner this great place will be open again.
“If people can only spare the odd day or even half an hour, that’s fine.”
