A PRIMARY school pupil who has raised £10,000 for animal rescue centres by selling dog biscuits has planned a special celebration to mark the feat.
Scarlett Berry, aged 10, will run the 5km Run or Dye event in Liverpool on September 20, where participants complete the course while being pelted with paint.
The following day she is hosting a special afternoon tea for 50 dogs and their owners at the Hope Centre in Central Drive, Westhoughton.
The ticket-only event will run from 2pm to 5pm on September 21 and visitors can look forward to games, a selection of dog-themed stalls, a raffle and tombola.
Scarlett, who is from Westhoughton, said: “I wanted to do something that would be fun for owners and their dogs.”
The Bury Grammar School for Girls pupil started raising money through dog biscuit selling in 2011.
