NINE teenagers created a portfolio of “Digital Memories” by teaching elderly residents in care homes how to use technology.
The 16-year-olds donated their time to the Bolton at Home housing charity and helped organise a public exhibition showcasing the residents’ photographs.
The youngsters were all in their final week of the National Citizen Service (NCS) funded by the Government.
Locally, Bolton Lads and Girls club are steering the project and the enthusiastic group, representing “Team Purple” of NCS.
The exhibition took place on Friday at St George’s Court, Bolton.
but run by community centres up and down the country Team member Kani Rahim described the project as “a fantastic opportunity to alloow elderly residents to learn about the wonders of tenchology and to learn about daily lives of the Bolton people in the past.
