A KINDHEARTED youngster is hoping her luck will be in at a beauty contest this weekend.
Olivia Morris, aged 17, is competing in Miss Teen Great Britain in Blackpool, with the winner due to be announced tomorrow.
The former Little Lever High School pupil entered her first beauty pageant last year when staff from a clothes shop recommended she take part.
Olivia, of Bramcote Avenue, The Haulgh, has just left Walkden Sixth Form Centrea.
She said: “I was one of the finalists of my first contest and it was a great experience.
“I’ve met so many nice people from it.”
Since then, she has been holding coffee mornings to raise more than £200 for Claire House Hospice on The Wirral and preparing for this weekend’s big event.
“I will be interviewed by the judges about my charity fundraising and ambitions, and then during a show I will model evening wear before the judges announce the winner.
“It’s so exciting,” added Olivia, who will go up against 25 rivals for the prize of a modelling portfolio and clothing vouchers.
Also taking part are former Harper Green pupil Leony Hill, and Tamara Hindley, of Harpers Lane, Smithills, both aged 16.
