A WOMAN had to be cut free from a car after a crash in Tonge Moor.
The driver, who is in her 50s, was in a Vauxhall Corsa when it hit a Landrover at the junction of Crompton Way and Thicketford Road at 1.45pm yesterday.
A crew at the Bolton fire station in Crompton Way was called to the scene and cut the back off the car before removing the back seat.
They pulled the woman to safety and she was taken to Royal Bolton Hospital. The other driver was unhurt.
Police closed one lane of the northbound side of Crompton Way for 20 minutes while the cars were removed.
