THE local authority which looks after Little Hulton and Walkden has been nominated for a top award for its work in exploring how public spending on health works towards creating jobs.
Work, overseen by Salford’s Health and Wellbeing Board chaired by Mayor Ian Stewart, has been shorlisted in the annual Social Enterprise Awards 2014.
The board brings together a range of public sector and community/voluntary organisations to work together for the city’s wellbeing.
