A THIEF pleaded guilty stealing £290 of groceries from Asda.
Bryn Semark, aged 51, of View Street, Daubhill, admitted to theft from the supermarket when detained by security.
Bolton Magistrates Court heard that Semark had gone shopping with others where Semark was the “lackey”.
While they bought Coca Cola at the checkout, he pushed the trolley full of meat and alcohol out of the store without paying.
Nicola Ormerod, prosecuting, said: “He was detained by security when the goods were discovered.”
Semark was given a conditional discharge for two years, and ordered to pay £100 in costs.
