READERS of The Bolton News have the opportunity to crown a winner in the Bolton’s Best 2014 awards.
The awards recognise Bolton Council’s brightest and best — and The Bolton News readers can vote for council workers who have “gone the extra mile” in the Best Customer Care category. The award is sponsored by The Bolton News.
The other eight categories in the awards are judged “in-house”.
The winner will be announced at a ceremony later this year.
The public can nominate any member of staff, team or project they feel has gone that extra mile to give an excellent service.
From social care and keeping streets clean to planning applications and licensing, the range of services provided by the council to the public is vast.
Last year’s winner was Ann Brown, manager at Blackrod Library. She was voted for by the public and staff for her work on the Blackrod Scarecrow Festival.
To make a nomination, fill in the form printed here, post it to Bolton’s Best Awards, Organisational Development Team, Bolton Council, The Castle Hill Centre, Castleton Street, Bolton, BL2 2JW.
To help us choose Bolton’s Best give as much detail as you can within the 100-word limit — what the person has achieved, how they work with customers or colleagues, how they are a great example for other staff, what they have done to provide excellent service.
Nominations close on Friday, September 5.
