OLDER drivers in Bolton are being advised to check their cars and insurance policies are up to scratch ahead of the Bank Holiday weekend.
The warning comes from John Starr, of Age UK Bolton, as millions of drivers are expected to take to the roads.
“There has never been a better time for people to check that both their car and their insurance policy are suitable before heading off on a trip,” he said.
“It is crucial to read the small print of policies so people know what is and what is not covered. If anyone is any doubt, they should contact their insurer who should be able to clarify the level of cover.”
Drivers are also being advised to plan their journey in advance and take plenty of water and refreshments in case of traffic hold-ups.
