ALL are welcome when Halliwell Local History Society meets next Tuesday at St Luke’s Church, Chorley Old Road, Bolton, at 7.30pm.
The speaker is Malcolm Tranter, who will talk about “The life and voyages of Sir Ernest Shackleton”, the Antarctic expedition leader who was responsible for one of the most remarkable sea voyages of the 20th century.
