A BREIGHTMET man has been jailed for 10 weeks for stealing a screwdriver, radio and coffee in a string of thefts.
John Ratcliffe, aged 29, of Bury New Road, pleaded guilty to stealing coffee and groceries from Crompton News & Booze on August 1.
He also admitted taking four jars of coffee from a Bargain Booze in Bolton on the same day.
On August 11, Ratcliffe stole a radio and screwdriver set, together worth £77.98 from B&Q.
Magistrates sentenced Ratcliffe to 10 weeks in prison in light of his previous record of offending.
