A PLACE at the world’s top universities awaits Turton students Daniel Currie and Robyn Hamer.
Daniel, aged 17, will read law at Magdalen College, Oxford, and Robyn Hamer will study veterinary medicine at Clare College, Cambridge.
Daniel gained one A* and two As while Robyn scored three A*s.
Robyn said: “I have worked hard, and when I got my offer, I did everything to get in. It feels amazing to be going.
Daniel added: “When I visited the College, it was so impressive and I am really excited to be going.”
The two are a number of students who have secured places on courses such as law and medicine at leading universities.
Headteacher John Porteous said: “Their hard work and commitment have brought them the results they deserved but they have given so much back to Turton with their good humour, enthusiasm and real community spirit.
“I wish them every success in their university and jobs.”
