A SINGING group which entertains people outside of a theatre environment is appealing for new members.
The Entertainers, a group of mainly retired members of Farnworth Performing Arts Company who formed 10 years ago, perform at locations across the borough.
Sandra Blyth said: “We perform regularly at the Olympus Fish and Chip Restaurant, at May and August Bank Holidays and during the Christmas period.
“We also entertain at various functions and community groups throughout Bolton and district.
“It is very rewarding, on occasions, to entertain people who don’t get out to our shows and pantomimes.
“We have also performed at birthday parties and other celebrations.”
Members are looking for like-minded people to join them and sing popular music from the past, as well as songs from well-known shows.
They rehearse every Wednesday afternoon at St John’s community room, Walkden. Please ring Sandra on 01204 655589 for more information.
