STUDENTS from Wigan and Leigh College, which is attended by young people from Bolton, had a splash when they conquered 32 km of dramatic river rapids in France.
Ten sports students spent two days kayaking the Ardèche Gorges section of the Ardèche River, which stretches 125 kilometres in total.
They also got involved with caving, rock climbing and abseiling on the limestone cliffs which surround the river and reach up to 300 metres high.
