LIAM Fontaine has left Wanderers after training with the club for several days, it has been confirmed.
The former Bristol City defender, pictured, had been invited to Euxton by Dougie Freedman and appeared in two of the development squad’s friendlies against Fylde and Wrexham.
But it is understood the 28-year-old left at the start of the week after plans for a behind-closed-doors friendly against Italian side Udinese were shelved.
Versatile defender Fontaine featured on loan for Yeovil Town in the Championship last season and is currently looking for another club in the second tier.
