Halliwell man grows 10-foot sunflower
GREEN fingered Harold Burgoyne has grown a towering sunflower which puts him in the shade.
Mr Burgoyne grew the 10ft plant on his allotment in Avenue Street Halliwell.
Tips for growing a sunflower include choosing a well-drained location and putting seeds in a spot that is sheltered from strong winds, such as along a fence or near to a building.
